The national park reserve of Komodo Island offers the liveaboard and photography course fore just about every type of

tropical scuba diving imaginable - from warm, calm and colourful shallow reefs alive with

hundreds of colourful reef fishes and crammed with invertebrates, to current-swept deep cool

water sea mounts, walls and pinnacles patrolled by sharks, tuna and other big fish. Famously

Komodo has many manta cleaning stations where sometimes over 30 mantas can be observed on

a single dive.

As a special feature we will start this tour in West Komodo and dive sites that are rarely visited by

dive boats such as an active volcano and secret manta cleaning stations.

With our favorite boat the MSV Amira we will explore the area and encounter school of fish, manta

rays and reef sharks as well as great macro dives. You can expect some serious current dives with

tons of wildlife.

DIVING

During this trip we will be diving off our amazing dive

vessel Amira. You can expect between 3 and 4 dives a

day. We will be doing reef dives, drift dives, shark dives in

the blue as well as night dives. We will also try to

organize a black water dive through the trip.

As this is an offshore trip you should be comfortable as a

diver and have at least 50 dives in your experience as

well as AOW license. If you have not dived for a while

make sure to get a refresher before the trip, although we

can provide this as well.
